Festa do Avante! for Android ("the app") is a free, unofficial, open-source companion app for the Festa do Avante! festival. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the festival organizers or the PCP. This policy explains what data the app accesses and why.
The app requests ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
permission solely to show your current position as a marker on the festival map, so you
can see where you are relative to stages and other locations. Your location is read
directly from the operating system, displayed on-screen, and is never transmitted,
stored, or shared anywhere by the app. You can deny this permission and still use
every other feature of the app; the map will simply not show your position.
The map itself is drawn from free, open map tiles provided by CARTO (based on OpenStreetMap data), fetched directly from their servers as you pan and zoom the map. As with loading any image from the internet, these requests inherently include standard web request information such as your IP address, handled according to CARTO's own privacy practices. The app does not add any tracking, identifiers, or analytics to these requests, and downloaded tiles are cached only locally on your device to reduce data usage.
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a revised "last updated" date.
